SIMULATOR TRAINING / TESTING ONLY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

​For all type ratings: At a minimum, in order to qualify for simulator training/testing only, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

 

  • Hold an unrestricted type rating in an *AMEL turbojet 

  • 2000 hours total of which 500 hours are turbine-powered AMEL

  • 500 hours in Boeing B-737/757/767/A320

  • Be rated as a military PIC in an AMEL turbojet

  • Have 1000 hours in two different AMEL turbojets

*AMEL = Airplane Multi-engine Land

Eligibility Requirements for Curriculum R on Boeing B-737:​

​

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP

  • ICAO PIC/SIC AMEL turbojet type rating other than Boeing B-737

  • 1000 hours minimum in: FAR 121/125/135 or 91K operations or similar ICAO and PIC/SIC PC within last 36 months; or

  • 1000 hours minimum in AMEL turbojets (e.g. KC-135, KC-10, C-17) in US military forces and pilot and instrument proficiency check within last 36 months.

  • Not eligible are hours in AMEL turbojets with a centerline thrust limitation (e.g. F-15, F-18, T38, E6 etc.).

Eligibility Requirements for Curriculum R on A320:​

​

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP 

  • ICAO PIC/SIC AMEL turbojet type rating 

  • 1000 hours minimum in: FAR 121/125/135 or 91K operations or similar ICAO and PIC/SIC PC within last 36 months; or

  • 1000 hours minimum in AMEL turbojets (e.g. KC-135, KC-10, C-17) in US military forces and pilot and instrument proficiency check within last 36 months.

Eligibility Requirements for Curriculum D on Boeing B-737:

​

  • Completed a Boeing B-737 training program

  • Must have completed a Boeing B-737 SIC/PIC proficiency check within previous 12 calendar months

  • 500 hours experience in the Boeing B-737

Eligibility Requirements for Curriculum D on Boeing B-757/767:

​

  • Completed a Boeing B-757/767 training program

  • 500 hours experience on the Boeing B-757/767

  • Boeing B-757/767 SIC/PIC proficiency check within previous 12 calendar months

Eligibility Requirements for Curriculum D on A320:

​

  • Must have completed an A320, 330 or 340 series aircraft training program

  • 500 hours experience in the A320, 330 or 340 series aircraft or a combination thereof

  • A320, 330 or 340 series aircraft pilot proficiency check or PC within the previous 12 calendar months

Eligibility Requirements for PIC Proficiency Check (FAR 61.58): 

​​

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP with
    Boeing B-737, Boeing B-757/767, A320 PIC Type Rating
