Online Course Outline: 80 hours minimum of computer-based training ground school (includes aircraft limitations, aircraft systems, and performance), 12 hour ground school review, 14 hours of simulator training. Traditional Ground School Course Outline: 80 hours of home study, entrance exam (80% pass), 48 hours of ground school (6 days), oral exam, 8 hours (4 hours PIC) of Flight Training Device (FTD = simulator) instruction (2 days), and 14 hours simulator training.
